CHAPTER SUMMARY:
Lucas, Sadie, and Zach begin working side by side at B-Side, and tensions are high. Training is chaotic, boundaries are tested, and Sadie’s commitment to sleuthing keeps things interesting. But it’s when Lucas walks in on Zach comforting a heartbroken Olivia that he jumps to conclusions— leading to a confrontation that gets way too personal, with Zach accidentally outing Olivia and her now ex-girlfriend. In the fallout, Lucas calls Kaleb for advice but gets only a voicemail.
Back at B-Side, Zach and Sadie have seemed to find common ground and the beginnings of friendship. In an attempt to force Lucas and Zach to finally bond, she traps them in the back of a shipment truck unloading boxes. It works… to some extent, the ice appearing to be broken between Lucas & Zach, at least.
Later, Olivia reveals the truth about what happened... and reminds Lucas that sometimes, doing nothing at all can be the hardest choice.
Before the night is over, Sadie confronts Lucas on the roof for betraying her confidence and telling Zach she’s been spying on him. But as their friendship fractures, another relationship takes an even more surprising turn… Lucas and Zach share an unexpected kiss.
