CHAPTER SUMMARY:
Lucas is already anxious about his dinner reunion with Nate when he discovers that Sadie, Olivia, and Ryan are spying from a few tables over. Then Sadie’s very Sadie pep talk puts him even more on edge. So that when Nate finally arrives at the restaurant, Lucas is primed to be a bit over-reactive. It doesn’t help that a very nervous Nate reverts to some of his previous bullying tendencies when they finally sit down together. The dinner quickly goes off the rails, and Lucas storms out.
Lucas heads for B-Side to distract himself with work. Olivia catches up, playing devil’s advocate by explaining that Nate must be nervous too, and that Lucas didn’t really give him a real chance to push through that. Lucas ignores him, continuing to work.
There he discovers Zach and someone he assumes to be a very rude customer, and things come to a head when Sadie catches up with Nate in tow, insisting Lucas give him an actual chance. Zach is immediately jealous of Nate, but the real problem comes when the rude man reveals who he actually is…
Julian (Briggon Snow), August’s brother, who is taking over operations at B-Side for a while.
Which begs the question… where is August, really?
