CHAPTER SUMMARY:
In the wake of Kaleb’s departure from Bourbon St. Boarding, Lucas struggles to get out of bed. His housemates do their best to pull him back into the world— with Sadie dragging him to drag brunch, Ryan injecting surprising words of wisdom, and Olivia offering quiet reassurance that Kaleb still cares.
Still, the truth is… they’re all struggling with this new normal.
As the group spends the day together, cracks begin to show. Sadie’s relentless positivity masks her own grief, and Lucas finally admits the depth of what he’s lost— not just Kaleb, but the time he feels they missed out on, and the relationship they never got to have. That night, a rooftop heart-to-heart brings Lucas and Sadie closer than ever. In the space Kaleb left behind, something new begins to grow.
