CHAPTER SUMMARY:
In our Season Premiere— When Lucas’ sister Sara (Kate Godfrey) returns to the boarding home, Lucas does his best to support her. But being a big brother isn’t as simple as he hoped— especially when she still won’t say what she wants to do about the baby and reveals that she’s been confiding in Sadie for weeks, rather than him. Though hurt, Lucas begins to understand— maybe being there for someone doesn’t always mean having the answers or being the only person they turn to.
Supporting Sara in whatever way she needs (even by just being present), Lucas waits in the Planned Parenthood waiting room during her appointment. There, he meets the charming yet aloof Zach (Kevin McHale), left a bit unsure by their brief interaction.
But all else is wiped from his mind when he returns back home and Kaleb shares devastating news: his father’s in the hospital, and he’s leaving New York to help his family back home.
As the weekend draws to a close, Lucas is left heartbroken, but certain of one thing: Whatever happens next, he’s not facing it alone.
