CHAPTER SUMMARY:

Now officially working at B-Side, Lucas tries to settle more into his new life— but making friends as an adult proves to be more complicated than he expected. Tensions with Kaleb linger, and Lucas struggles with awkward encounters at work, especially when a flirty customer, Tyler (John Brodsky), takes an interest in him.

Meanwhile, Carter’s tapes introduce the idea of Chosen Family— the people who truly stand by you through everything.

Inspired, Lucas starts putting himself out there with his housemates, bonding with Sadie and even striking up an unexpected conversation with Ryan over baseball. But just as he starts feeling comfortable, Joshua shows up again, making it clear that Lucas still isn’t fully welcome in the group.

That night, Kaleb finally opens up about his complicated relationship with Joshua— and how Lucas made him feel safe for the first time in a long while. But instead of rushing into something new, Lucas suggests they start as friends, giving them both time to figure things out.

Encouraged by his progress, Lucas takes another leap— this time asking Tyler out on a date.

And on Carter’s latest tape, a powerful revelation: “I think I’m gay.”
