CHAPTER SUMMARY:
In the Season Three Finale… construction at the boarding home seems to finally wrap up, but Sadie isn’t moving back into her old room just yet. Instead, she’s determined to help Lucas process his latest revelations. With her help, Lucas begins to work toward forgiving Carina. Sadie reveals that their house mom helped her turn the storage room into a recording space for Lucas’s own tapes, and a place where he can digitize all the tapes that came before him.
Later, Lucas returns to B-Side to pick up his last paycheck, only to be surprised by Julian slipping him the name of the clinic where August is getting their chemotherapy.
At the clinic, Lucas runs into Carter, who helps August explain that keeping their diagnosis a secret was their decision alone. August asks Lucas to forgive Carina and assures him that they’ll be okay. For now, Lucas is just grateful that he can finally be there for the friend and mentor who has always been there for him.
Back at the boarding home, Lucas finds Nate waiting for him on the roof. Nate admits his feelings for Lucas and insists he’s willing to fight for him. Then Zach confesses his own feelings and says he’s willing to fight for Lucas, too. Caught between them, Lucas realizes he needs time to figure out what he wants for himself. And right now, that’s joining Carina in the kitchen to finally forgive her, and encouraging her to run for city council. Whatever she decides, Lucas assures her that the whole house will be behind her.
But just as things seem to be falling into place, there’s yet another knock at the front door… As Season Three ends, Lucas answers it to find…
His mom has returned to the boarding home, bringing Andrew along with her.
